A courtyard house that turns inward — the brief was quiet.
The Bellevue Pavilion sits on a corner block in one of Sydney's quieter precincts. The clients wanted a house that felt like a retreat from the city without leaving it. Our architect's response was a plan built around an internal courtyard — every room looks inward to the pool and garden rather than out to the street. The result is a house that's luminous and calm, where the boundary between inside and outside dissolves but privacy remains absolute.
